MAX mill frozen mixed ball mill is a high-energy and multifunctional desktop vibration ball mill. MAX mill can mix and homogenize powders or suspensions at up to 2100rpm in a short period of time, with fast speed and easy operation, generating enough energy to grind particles to the nanometer range; When using a metal grinding bowl, it can be manually pre cooled in liquid nitrogen to minimize the heating effect. The MAX mill frozen mixed ball mill has high-performance power and is suitable for long-term grinding processes, making it highly attractive for scientific research and mechanochemistry. Its products are widely used in various experimental pre-treatment fields such as mechanochemical synthesis, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, minerals, medicine, etc.
Function and principle
The grinding tank of the MAX mill freeze mixing ball mill performs radial oscillation in a horizontal position, and the inertia of the grinding ball causes it to impact the sample material at the circular end of the grinding tank with high energy and crush it. In addition, the movement of the grinding tank combined with the movement of the ball results in strong mixing of the sample. By using several smaller diameter balls, the degree of mixing can be further improved, and the significant frictional impact between the grinding balls ensures effective cell fragmentation.

Biological applications and cell fragmentation solutions
Freeze mixed ball mills are often used for homogenizing biological samples, and grinding with ball mills is a established method for cell fragmentation of yeast, microalgae, or bacterial samples. During this process, the sample will only be moderately heated, and its heating effect can be minimized through pre cooling. The MAX100 high-energy hybrid ball mill can effectively crush up to 96 * 2ml of cell suspension to extract DNA/RNA and proteins. To accurately diagnose infection, complete bacteria can be isolated from the tissue of a 10 * 5ml test tube using an adapter.
Application of Mechanochemical Synthesis
Mechanochemical methods can enable substances to react quickly in solvent-free environments. Some chemical reactions require friction from planetary ball mills, while other types of reactions require energy input through impact. This is where the MAX mill high-energy freeze mix ball mill works. The sample size available for research applications is usually very low, which makes small grinding jars like MAX mill with a volume of less than 50 milliliters advantageous. Due to the often long reaction time, setting the working time to a few hours is another important aspect. Compared with traditional planetary ball mills, hybrid mills have unique advantages in mechanochemical applications, allowing for in-situ RAMAN spectroscopic analysis.
